Seller Rating System

Featured Replies

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question.

To the mods,

have you guys ever implemented a seller rating system on here? I thought it would be a great idea to help some of these sellers out that have low post counts. There are many forums i'm on that I have low post count, but 20+ transactions. Additionally, this benefits the honest sellers that have been earning that reputation with all the sales. Plus they can usually get a few more bucks over a new seller, which is well deserved.

Post counts usually don't equate to honesty, in my opinion.

I know of 3 or 4 guys right off that bat that I would send money as gift via PP to save the fees we would normally accumulate.

Just a thought. Did a search and didn't find anything on this topic yet.

Thanks

There's a lot hiding in the sticky topics, and not all are visible from every forum, so you sometimes gotta dig. ;)

This is something I have kind of taken over.  I update the list daily.  Anytime I get a PM, I always update, and then respond so that the person knows the changes have been made!

Maybe could make a new sub-forum called "feedback" where each member starts their own thread and their buyers post a "review/feedback" on the transaction? Might cut down the work for mods. Was on a forum maybe 10 years ago selling a bunch of stuff and this was the system they used... it worked great.

No need to copy other forums when our system, which has been in place for many years, works fantastic!  We are not even considering changing it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  :)
