I'm not sure whether or not to get the Pflueger Purist or the Daiwa Exceler spinning reel for finesse fishing with mostly charlie brewer slider heads, drop shotting, and wacky worming.

Have you guys had any experience with the Pflueger Purist Spinning Reels? They just came out not too long ago, and not many reviews have been posted. I know that the daiwa exceler is a pretty popular reel though.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the Purist, but Pflueger is renowned for producing excellent reels at very reasonable prices.  That's why almost all of my reels are Pfluegers.

purist is solid, great "workhorse" reel.

I have a president XT, the model the purist replaced. Great reel, very smooth, works great. Everything u expect from a quality reel can only imagine the purist is the same.

Daiwa Exceler changed for this year, so probably not a lot of people that have tried it.

X2 Most of my spinning reels are Pfluegers good solid reels don't think you could go wrong getting the  Purist
