Honestly- for something that small you should look into the panfish section.

A better bet would be to cut down the gulp mantis shrimp or regular shrimp or use gulp cricket.

Really, the back half of the gulp mantis shrimp may be what you want to use in rootbeer gold.

Strike King makes crawfish jigs in 1" and 2" for panfish, they come pre rigged with 2 spare. Or they make a bitsy that is 2.5 inches.

that 2" and 1" crawfish jig is THE BOMB. Ive been looking for those confidence baits for awhile, couldnt remember the name
