My local tackle shop announced via Facebook...that the Swamp Donkey frog would be in the house, but gave no specific date for it's appearance.

Have any of you all heard when its suppose to hit??

 

I also did a little research and see where  the Tackle Shop.com is taking pre-orders for them for $8.99 each and has 9 colors to choose from..

My guys are going to sell them for $10.95 plus tax....so I may pre-order a few online, contingent on some "up-to-date reviews!"

 

Question: How many of you guys have used this frog? 

What has been your experience with them?

 

The reviews I've read, 95% have been off the chart positive!

 

I'm starting to really lose it with this frog fishing stuff...I gotta settle down! lol

I've been using the Swamp Donkey for several years along with the Spro Frog. The Swamp Donkey has a much softer body and it is very easy to "walk". In my experience it works as well as the Spro model.

the older model goes for 40-50 bucks, I did not know they are bringing it back, can someone give me a website or something, I don't see anything on RI site.

The Swamp Donkey is by far my favorite frog to fish with.  Nice soft body, walks the dog great, seems somewhat durible, and my hook-up rates seems to be higher with this frog than the others.  I'm happy to hear they are coming back.  I may have to stock up on a few before they disapear again.

They are bringing the Swamp Donkey and the Vixen back.  I don't know when they are being released but there are a few online tackle shops taking pre-orders for them.  The Tackle Trap has had them on their site for about 2 months now.

Nobody has them in stock yet.  I read on TW's forum yesterday that they have an order placed with RI but they are now not sure when it will be filled, if at all.  If TW doesn't know if they will end up being released, that's a bad sign.
