That'd be my new avatar and FB photo

knock on wood i never got myself with a treble hook. I seen my dad have a treble hook past the barb in his thumb and kentucky on the other treble hook. It was a KVD sexy shade crankbait must be something about those KVD lures! lol

makes me wanna wear glasses all the time

wow thank god it didn't get your eye!  A solid reminder to all of us on the importance of wearing glasses when we're out there.

I'm pretty sure the string trick is for single hooks. You did the right thing by getting professional help with that one considering the proximity to your eye.

The string trick works with any hook, any size.  Treble, single, whatever.  Might have been a little more tricky with it that close to his eye, but with a couple other people it could have been done, and he would have only had one hole in his face instead of 2.

Although reading the OP's post he said he had 2 hooks past the barb.  That would have made the string trick a little more tricky.

And that is why I always wear sun glasses. No matter what. Close call man. Good to hear you're alright. Careful yankin those snags!

Woah!!! Dude your so lucky that wasnt your eye haha Ive done the same but with a Texas rigged plastic with an ounce weight, cracked a big gash in my forehead haha.

The string trick would definitely been very difficult on this one......I would of had to loop on both points and tried to pull them out at the same time, otherwise I yank one and the other would either go deeper or tear some skin lol!  In this case I could not see any alternative.
