Have you guys seen this reel? The buzz seems to be around the new Chronarch but the Tatula looks just as cool IMO. Its 100 bucks cheaper and a bit heavier...

Seems Daiwa is trying to improve the TWS with this reel. Very cool how it flips up and down. I'm wondering if this will start becoming a staple for Daiwa.

I will be getting one once they hit the market. I have been intrigued by Daiwa's Project T since it has been introduced and the aspects of it relating to casting distance. The weight doesn't bother me as it will be paired up with a rod for tip down applications. The drag and gears seem very solid. Daiwa may have found itself a reel to compete highly in the $150-$200 market segment.

I will be getting one once they hit the market.

like I need a new frog or small pitching rod, but may get one and pair with  7'4 rod

When is its release date? Anyone know?

at least one person has already gotten theirs. TW says 9/16 for them.
