Preferred to got a Carbonlite rod from BPS but they are out of stock until late September.  Head to DSG this morning and got a Field & Stream Tec Specrod at 24 and original price is 59.9. For this price I cant be happier.

Dicks down here doesnt have near the sale items you northerners get to enjoy.. they are losing out big to the new academy sports down here.. and we have a gander mountain on the way that will be less than a mile away   

My DSG seldom has a sale on rods or reels.  Right now they are offering $10 off on the Elite.  Basically 15% off.  I do find that I can buy my lures there cheaper than at either of my local Walmarts.  Would love to have an Academy or Gander Mountain nearby.

I at Dicks last week and I was looking at the reels and they had a Shimano Citica marked down to 99.97 and the had the sale for an extra 50% of clearance items ending in .97. I got a 130$ reel for 50 bucks! Dicks has some great deals, but you have look real hard to find them.

Yeah no sales here. and academy is cheaper on most lures.. and sometimes selection is better on certain items I use at academy so I typically go there..my local bait and tackle has higher prices but when they run good sales like they do 20% on combo over 100.. thats when I spend the big bucks.. they will usually drop even further..

That was a good deal! We've gotten absolute "steals" at DSG from time to time. Sale items that are even cheaper than advertised when we get to checkout. Love those times!

I don't remember which dicks it was but I seen one 7' medium moderate and a 7' medium fast. They are low since they are older models

If I wasn't so picky I'd grab them and also the clearance rack rods from gander

The Dicks sale is 50% off clearance rods and reels, I know the shimano citica and some zebcos are the reels. If you're not sure if a item qualifys for the discount just har an associate check on theirs scanner gun

No dice here! Went over there and they only have $5 off the Tec Specs. Boo!!!!!
