What ever happen to those crankbaits with the laser pointers in them?

I have one but really never tried it that much. They were suppose to be hot stuff like a cat is to a laser pointer. I don't see them anymore.

They were so 2009.  I guess we have all progressed to the 2013 gimmick lure now.  My vote for gimmick of the year are these microchip sound producing red light eye Livingston lures.  Every time I see one of these, I think of the Laser Lure.

You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!

They went out of business. I bet livingston lures is on it's way out too.

Well I'll put it next to my flying lure? But the flying lure did work. We bought it on a deep discount and used it in a water drainage pond in a large complex. This was an unfished place. It did work in chartreuse color.

I did not buy the flying minnow.

I've been testing them out and so far I'm impressed. I can't say the electronic makes a difference, but its a d**n fine quailty lure so far.

All that's needed to catch any predatory fish is just a handful of different lures, jigs, spoons, hard lure, top water, worm, soft plastic and a fly........I can't think of anything else that isn't a variation.  I 'll let someone else look for the magic bullet.

I still carry the flying lure in my weedless tackle box today. That drainage pond I pass by all the time on the way to my local haunts to fish. You never know when I will stop and pick off a few bass. The last time I was there they were up to 3lbers. They should be at least 4+lbs by now.

Seeing these bass in a run off drainage place makes me think about fishing at these same places on our highway entrance and exit ramps?
