Berkley Lightning Rod For Shakey Head

I have a berkley lightening rod i just acquired and i am looking for a use for it. I love to shakey head fish and i was wondering if it would be a good fit for the job its a LRS701M the tip seems to be a little soft for my taste but opinions are welcome.

Better for "moving lures" rather than bottom contact.

Look, if it's what you've got, use it and don't worry about it. Is it the best rod in the world? No, but it's the best rod (IMO) in that price range. There are three in my rack right now that get used for dropshotting for panfish and the occasional bass that doesn't know the difference... :wink2:
