Hains Point

Featured Replies

Have anyone gone fishing at Hains Point? It's frustrating...I've gone there, and there's suppose to be bass, and catfish and others and I catch nothing. I have ribbit lure, crankbait, spinnerbaits, grubs T-rigged, and getting one pack of brush hogs next week. I have an ugly stik and a Penn Fierce 6000.

I don't catch anything...I spent 3 hours today and nothing...only thing I didn't try was a live bait.

Hains point is a rather large area. Are you moving around?, are you fishing the main river side or the channel side? I would fish in the channel side close to the outlet from the tidal basin. Cast parallel to the bank with smaller finess baits should get you some bites!

Try to make sure you are back in there when the tide is moving. My best luck has been in an outgoing tide. Try smaller finess worms on a small weight
