Should I be modifying these top water poppers?  I heard to put another split ring on the back hook.  Also maybe replace both trebles to red ones?

Does that sound right,  anything else I can do to this?

Put split rings on it if there are none and new hooks also but they don't have to be red , just a good quality hook.

There is 1 split right on it already,  should I add another?  I read somewhere about using 2 for the back hook.

If you put another split ring on the back, make sure the hooks are far enough apart so they don't foul each other. It happens a lot on some poppers anyway.
