How do you rig these and what size and type hook?

  • Super User

This was already addressed and that photo was posted.

The biggest difference is that Bobby has permission from Gary Y himself to use a senko mold for the Megastrike baits.

Same general concept, different baits.

The megastrike model is very close in design to a japanese plastic thats been around for some time.

Can you elaborate?

Which area would you like elaboration?   ;D

I just elaborated on myself.  :-[

The Cross Swamp Worm was designed for wacky jig/flick shake.  IIRC, Bobby's bait was meant to be fish more horizontally.  I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing The Megastrike bait has some sink rate to it as well.

I believe this was the bait pictured in the previous thread.

Not sure.  That thread was quite a few pages ago.  Perhaps it was a victim of the disappearing thread genie.

This is a copy of the Reins- BP is famous for that stuff. The wing ding is totally different. It flies through the water horizontally - As for the mold for our MegaStick -It is not the same as the Senko- a little different. What I did do was ask permission from the President of Yamamoto was to mimic-NOT REPLICATE OR DUPLICATE the Senko. I give all of the credit for the design that type stick bait to Yamamoto. The design/size/weight/consistency is very good. I was told that i would not take any business away from Yamamoto-they have their loyal following-I will take the business from the other stick bait companies

There is your elaboration.   ;D

The japanese have been using those X-shaped type worms for quite awhile now...

Thanks for pointing that out to me, he explained it well. There seems to be more than just one or two baits that looks like this one and I wanted to know how it is different.

if you are reffering to the photo i posted of the reins swamp cross in the post awhile back , this one is different , this is BPS's version of it ............

Bobby, you got a link to a picture of the Wng Ding?  maybe that will clear up the questions.  The BP bait, and Cross Swamp worm are just two asymmetrical finesse worms attached in the middle to form an "X".  The Wing Ding is a stick worm with two wings on it.  Subtle difference, but indeed different baits.

Found one two:

Glenn has the video in the black box there. There is no way that these baits have the same action. They are designed to be fished differently-rigged differently-and textured differently.I have been killing the bass over the weeds and pads on these this year and what i find is when the dragon flies are prevalent the bass go nutz for them(Wing Ding)

I saw these long before either of the ones you mentioned.

The wing ding was proto typed about 4 years ago-production was over a year ago

Reins Cross Swamp:

Read a few posts above, already mentioned.  Not really the same bait at all, though, as explained above also.

I hope to kill a turkey this year and try to use its foot for bait.....

Ya really gotta see the beauty of this bait-I have gotten some really big fish on it and numbers too. My issue is the packaging. Ya cant put them in bags- I am waiting for clamshell packaging- The clamshells are too big for stores to take-they are 7x7 or more-Hate it
