Any South Florida Kayakers?

Featured Replies

I'm loving kayak fishing and I'd like to get a 5lb bass this year (would be PB since starting bass fishing). I have one good kayakable lake in Deerfield Beach and a few shore spots but being new in S. Florida, I haven't really been able to do much bass fishing yet. Anyone fishing from a kayak and want a fishing buddy? I'd love to do some everglades fishing but definitely not doing it alone. Thanks!

Rvadog, how was your fishing on Snake Creek a couple of weeks back? You never mentioned it again.

Eh. Getting out in the kayak is always fun and I could use the practice casting, but that's about all it was worth. No bites and very little sign of life.

I think I mentioned this before, the EL Rio canal in Boca which isn't far.  Public access at Pioneer Park off Dixie Hwy in Deerfield, best fished at high outgoing tide, bass, snook, jacks and tarpon, I've caught all those species there.  I'd work my way up towards the FAU campus.
