Newbie To Bass Fishing From Las Vegas

Featured Replies

Hey guys! Did a lot of research before joining this site and this was the best site out there! I'm very new to bass fishing but fished a lot back in Hawaii. I've only been bass fishing for about a month now and got hooked! I finally caught my first ever large mouth last weekend and was stoked! I've been doing a lot of research, watching YouTube videos, and now I have this forum to rely on to catch more bass! The only problem right now that I have is that I live in Las Vegas and it gets super hot here. The only places I'm able to fish right now are the urban ponds and private man made lakes with lake front property. The urban ponds are not that big but they do have large mouth bass,(have yet to see one or catch one,) but it's a species that isn't normally stocked. I've caught my first bass at the lake front property where it's much bigger and has less people. The urban ponds tend to have a lot of traffic and kids feeding the ducks and fish with who knows what! Sunset park pond is where I'll be doing most of my practicing whether its a specific technique or just perfecting my casting. Anyone out there from Las Vegas or anyone in particular have any tips for me?
