i am wondering if jighead with ika will works good

and can jighead be used for senko?

I think anything will work on a jighead. I like hula grubs, but I'm sure senkos would be good. Robo worms on light jigheads are good on my lake... real good

The ika... not so sure. I would use a hula grub and fish the ika weightless.

I forget the name of it, but there is a rig out there by some In Fisherman contributor that specifically has a light ball jighead and a senko or zero cut in half and held tight.  Nothing fancy to it, just really an extreme finesse rig.

Ika makes it's magic by being weightless...it glides backwards.Why would you want to kill that by adding weight?

A 3.5" senko type bait on a ball head jig is a river smallmouth delight, great minnow imitation.

The Fat Ika should always be fished weightless.

If you think you need a weight, fish a tube.
