I cant find anywhere in the memphis area to buy saltwater series baits mainly gulp plastics and zara super spook jr's. i use these for freshwater. the spook works great cause it has a rattle and the feather tail but they dont make them like that in the regular freshwater series

Well, it is Memphis. I doubt theres a very large market for saltwater baits in that area. Your best bet is probably to do some online shopping.  Or just buy the spooks they sell, and add a feathered treble.  You can tie some feathers on yourself relatively quickly as well.

Being from there, I have some experience and unique knowledge with this.  They don't sell them because the nearest saltwater is approximately 400 miles away.  The few people that do drive that far for saltwater tackle are too dumb to notice the other tackle stores closer to the ocean, and generally fish with spinning reels on top anyway. 

I'd say try online.

The BPS in Ft Lauderdale is weak on saltwater lures, spoons, and jigs ( I prefer Dick's) and it's only a few miles from the ocean.  I buy my saltwater equipment based on what I'm fishing for, in many cases freshwater & saltwater lures are interchangeable.

For me a simple rule of thumb, if the fish has teeth it's a waste to spend too much on lures, one strike and they may destroy it.  For fish without teeth, just about any bass lure will do fine.  In my experience when fishing artificial I catch more fish using a simple generic silver spoon than anything else,  feathers work very well.  I fish with just 1 spoon , 1 jig, 1 xrap or facsimile and top lure....maybe a storm wild eyed shad in my pocket too, all I need.

Thats odd that BPS in Dania doesnt have much salt gear. In Ft. Myers thats bout all they have. Orlando isnt much better either, its very hard to find freshwater lures in the closest bass pro's to me.
