what do you use for taking photo's on the water?

Featured Replies

I need some help and suggestions on finding a camera to take photos while fishing. Im looking for a digital camera, for ease of loading pictures on the computer, also im looking for one less than like 50 dollars. Some thing i just keep in my tackle box. anyone have any suggestions.

For under $50 the only thing I can think of is buying a disposable camera and get a cd of the pics when you get it developed.  They make some digital waterproof camera's but they are over $100.  I just use an old digital camera kept in a zip-loc baggie.

bummer, i wish i could just find something that takes cellphone quality photos, instead of taking out my cellphone and risk breaking it or droping it. and plus making cd's is just inconvenient

Look at this...$40.00.....

thats not bad even takes video, avi format and pics all ready in jpeg, camera is also digital. i dont think i can get better. thanks i think im going to order it.

FWIW, I take pics with my cell phone out of my kayak.  Not much room for error.  If your afraid of dropping it, why even have it?  Just pay the $5 a month for insurance on it (which you should probly have anyways) and if you drop it in the water or break it, they replace it.  I think Ive busted or lost about 5 phones in the last 2 years and they always replace them.

Not trying to be a jerk, just giving you a simple solution.   ;D

If you want decent quality pics at that price point you may want to check out ebay for a used camera that someone is going to upgrade. Cameras that were $200 a couple years ago are probably going for around $50 now. Good luck!

Its a great little camera and is a little beast with HD video. Good photo's and will suit your needs!

I seldom have the need to take a picture when I'm fishing, when I do I just use my cell phone.  I try to keep the cell phone in a waterproof case when it is in the boat.

well i normally use my cellphone... but i got my g/f one of these and now imma get one for me too.  it is amazing for the price....

ive taken lots of pics withit underwater in a pool and stuff at the beach and its a trooper. expensive... but its worth it not to have a heartattack everytime i get a camera near water. we just took a float off an old net and attatched it to the lanyard.....

it's more than 50 dollars but i use one of those flip cam corders so i have a video and you can take pictures from the video when you put it on the computer.
