My lease is up in March, new place by april 1st, so that is when I am going have to pack...the best fishing of the year

This came off a ledge with a 1/4 ounce jig with a  b-bug trailer.  Wind started to pick up and was blowing good.  Had to leave shortly after. 19.5 in.

 

You have posted a couple fish this month, but they have nice to them. 3 more like that you would be top 5 for sure.

AK, save your cash and look into buying a small aluminum boat, with an electric motor. LMG and FSTR have one. Pick their brains on how they set up their boats and you might be surprised on how affordable it may be.

Lol, AK I didnt weigh her but she was o my about 21-22 inches long. I would guess only around six pounds. That fish is special to me because we rarely see them that fat this far south!

Not to knock the alum boats but here in Jax with the spots we have a kyak or canoe is probably better AK. There is a guy here at the office that kayaks the tinesel town pond chain and the pond at gate yall hang out at. He landed that 10 you are ooggling over there.

Trust me, I have 2 kids of my own and I get it. I did not say purchase a boat tomorrow, next week, or next month. What I meant to say, is allocating a little $ and  over time of 1 yr or 2, you might have enough stashed away to get an old aluminum boat and a used electric motor. It was just a thought.

MCS, you bring up excellent point. Aluminum, was just the first thought I had since I have one. But, their are other options. Kayaks and canoe's are other viable options.  

Them Kayaks are rediculously priced. I got my boat and trailer for $500.

I got all yall beat(finally - something I can win) I got 4 kids LOL so there is no hope for a boat until they are outta the house. Drain on the wallet....that is why Rage and GYB is off my shopping lists LOL I do have to have rattlesnakes though and I have been patient for a couple months now, Nov 15 I am getting some.

 

Your right LMG the kayaks go for probably the same $$ or more but I was saying that more for launching they are lighter and easiey, no ramps around these ponds, easy in and easy out. you know what I mean.

What you mean they treated the water? You ain't trying to keep me off your spot LOL....I haven't fished there since the summer and I got skunked two times and had one fish the other. But what did they do? There was a big gator in there last time I was there in July.
