Adrian Peterson's 2Yr Old Son Dies

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson's 2 year old son died today after being choked/assaulted by the child's mother's 27 year old boyfriend.

Having a 18 month old child I could not imagine this happening nor how I would react in the aftermath.  I wouldn't be surprised if Adrian goes off on the field this weekend and break his own record for most rushing yards in a game.  This is the same guy who comes back from a potential career ending injury and comes within 9 yards of the NFL single season rushing record. But having to deal with the death of a child out weighs any physical injury in my opinion.

Why would he even play after that??

A lot of people use football as a way to escape just like most of us do with fishing

Prayers to AP and his family. Forget about football and think of a man losing his two year old son to a violent on home domestic attack. My heart goes out to him.

Unbelievable the mom's boyfriend did that to a 2 year old. Hopefully he never sees "the outside" again. Thoughts and prayers to the family. I can only imagine...

I just don't get it how people's minds work....prayers go out to AP and his family.

Read about this tonight. Absolutely disgraceful. Prayers, and such, and all the best to AP.

Horrible news.  I wouldn't be critical of the decision to play or not to.

That is terrible news. A young life snuffed out before it had a chance to begin.

Terrible.  Stuff like this makes me wonder about people sometime.

Horrible no doubt...but the guy has a history of abuse and mother could have prevented. Also, I believe AP was only biological father and does not know the kid/won't affect playing status.
