The Washington Redskins are changing their name because of all the negativity, shame, humiliation, dissent, polarity, adversity, defiance, hatred, animosity, contempt, discrimination, division, violence, counter-productivity, ill-spirit, un-Godliness, and hostility associated with their name.

 

From now on they will be known simply as the Redskins.

That name is toast. It doesn't matter what you, I or others think about it, the die is cast. The President has chipped in, Goodell has backed off somewhat from his previous support and I can only see this movement snowballing until the owner is backed so far into a corner that he feels there's no longer a choice.

Maybe while we're at it we should change the Giants to something else. Could offend tall people.

The name won't be changed until a major sponsor of the league bails and it hits the skins and the league in the pocketbook ....everything else is just lip service.  Bottom line is the term redskin is an offensive derogatory term no matter how much "history" it has and it should be changed like many other college teams have already done with similar names.

This post is as serious as I can be. But, if they change the name......I would LOVE it if they called them the "Fighting Whities"

As a Cowboys fan, I think they should keep the name "Redskins" but remove the logo of the Indian dude and replace it with a picture of a potato.  The Redskin Potatoes!

That's not political Sir.  Republican, Democrat, Liberal, or Conservative, we can all agree on that we've got a mess in Washington!  That's one thing our politicians have united us on, is our distrust of themselves.
