Been looking to expand my skirt material line up to include more rubber.  Right now its 90% silicone.  

 

I've read some positive things about the bio silk material.  I do have some of the flatline rubber from fishing skirts.  Has anyone used both and can offer a quick comparison?

The Bio-Silk looks like regular silicone and is the same basic size as regular silicone.  It isn't really anything like the flatline rubber as the strands are much thinner.  The Bio-Silk does behave like rubber in the water though. 

Looks like I'll be placing an order to try out some bio silk tonight or tomorrow.

 

I did email fishing skirts and they said they are coming out with a new rubber material that will be available in the next few months.

I like the Bio-Silk a lot.  I mix it with regular silicone, I think it adds a little more life to jigs. 

I've been on the bio-silk since it came out, awesome stuff!! Flatline rubber and round rubber will melt and clump together to the point you can pull it apart when stored wet or for long periods of time, it is why I got away from using rubber but the bio-silk separates and moves better than regular silicone in the water, I make combination skirts using living image silicone as an accent color to the bio-silk.

Just placed my order!  Only ordered a few to try it out but I'm sure I'll place a larger order in the future if its half as good as you say!

The sister site of that, lure parts online, they now have both the material to make your own skirts or you can get them already made, your choice.
