I Am After Some Awesome Man Muffs

Featured Replies

Last year I bought some earmuffs that have built in headphones. (man muffs)  I got them from JC Pennys.  The brand is escaping me at the moment.

I mainly use them for walking downtown to work in the winter.

About 4 months of use, the speakers crapped out on me. So I need to replace them.

I'd like to not get the same ones again in fear of them turning to crap on me.  As a matter of fact, here they are: http://www.jcpenney.com/men/sale/headphone-ear-warmers/prod.jump?ppId=pp5002120882&searchTerm=earmuffs&dimCombo=null&dimComboVal=null&catId=SearchResults

Can anyone recommend a good set of earmuffs that have the head phones  built in to them?  I am not sure how much I'd like to spend but I don't want cheap quality.........

I can not help you in finding what your looking for. I just have a suggestion though. Why not get a set of ear buds? There small enough no to get in the way. So you could wear a stocking hat, or what ever else you want. Most also now have a in line mic. So you can talk on your phone.

If you go that way. I would get a set of skull candys. I have there mid range ones. For there price there very good. Awesome sound, and bass. I also wear them while working out. So far they have stood up to my abuse. As for comfort. I have fallen a sleep with them in.

after my headphones died on me, i did try the earbud route then placed the ear muffs over top.  i found the buds to be very uncomfortable.  didn't care for putting things in my ears.  prefer the over the ear route

thanks for the response!

That's neat. Never even seen those before. Would be nice to have walking around campus during this winter season. Perhaps you could McGyver your own?

I have a pair of old 4" car speakers that I wired into the stereo plug.  I just duct tape them to my head and then pull over a wool cap.  Works great, but it's a little painful to take them off.  :dazed-7:

Very pleased to live in a place where man muffs are not available for purchase, lol!

Yeah, man muffs might be a little "metro" for me.

I have a set of "beans" ear buds. They're made of very soft rubber and they are very comfortable.  they conform to the shape of your ear.  Might be worth a try.

if all else fails, these man muffs go on sale for $5 on black friday. I could always try another pair and hope for the best.

i could also look for a comfy pair of buds to go in my ear, although im not a fan of them.....we'll see

If one of my friends asked me this, I would demand their man card on the spot. ;)
