Need Quick Reply- When To Arrive At Bps For Black Friday Deal?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I just say my local BPS has the Pro Qualifer combo on sale for $70 tomorrow. I've wanted this reel for a while and really want to get it, but haven't ever black friday shopped before. Sale is 5-11 am, limited quantities, no rain checks etc. When should I get there? 5 am? Earlier? Thanks!

They are lined up at our local BP now camped out. They have been there since about 430

Definitely before 5:00; try to be there before 4:00 or even earlier.

How bad do you want the rod? They will have the PQ on sale for their spring sale for around 80 or so but its a bit of a wait.

Personally, I wouldn't even think about going.  There is nothing I need so badly that justifies my showing up any store hours and hours before they open.  So you get a great deal, but have to fight a mob in the process.  Woopy.

I agree with you, this is the reason I haven't ever been black friday shopping before. I think what I will do is show up around 6 am, if they have them great and if not oh well, its only a 10 minute drive anyways!

Nope, it's 3 days after Black Friday

There will be about 500 people lined up to enter the store at 5AM.

You can do like me and arrive around 6 or 6:30.

You kidding? I'm right next to the (springfield) main bps and no one is waiting at all.

My officers said they were standing around and in their trucks this afternoon and about 2 hours ago when I went down town to get a sandwich there were a bunch of them.

Brian, are you going to the Olathe store? I did it 2 years ago and I showed up about 30 minutes early, ran in and got an electric smoker and still made it to NFM early enough to stand in that line...

Last year I stood in the line from H$!! At Cabelas! It was insane!,, it wrapped all the way to the back door via the highway!,,,,

Tomorrow I'M FISHING,!!!

I'm in this camp. Plus like others have said there will be other sales. Saving a few bucks to me is not worth the headache and drama.

Nope, I'm going to the Independence store. Amazing what some people do for a good deal!

I don't like to even leave the house on Black Friday.  Have to make a run to the airport to pick my wife up in the morning.  Hopefully traffic won't be too bad.

I like the deals you can get, but standing in line for hours only to have the item(s) I want already sold out is not my idea of a good time.  Thanks, but no thanks.

Like others have said. I've been there done that. My BPS is in IL, and there are people camping out. Did that two years ago, and never again. People mobbed the store as soon as it opened and by the time I got in all the stuff I wanted was gone. Nope not worth it to me to save $20 or $30 and waste 2-3 hours of my time.

Just got back from Bass Pro and it went great. Arrived at 6:15, no line or anything. Immediately found the BPS PQ combo in the fishing section, and they had easily 50+ and were bringing more out every 10 minutes. Most were righties but i found a lefty that I ended up buying. Had to wait in a 30 minute line to check out, but overall it was't bad or crazy at all and I saved $90 on a reel I was going to get anyways! Not all black friday stories end bad here i guess!

Thanks all for the advice,

Brian
