What Was Your All Around Best Location This Year?

Featured Replies

Mine is easily the Susquehanna River near the Wilkes Barre, PA area.  Caught tons of great smallies, rock bass, catties, carp, walleye, perch, and bluegill.  It only takes around 10 minutes to walk to one of my favorite spots from my house.  Used a lot of cranks, spinnerbaits, soft plastics, nightcrawlers, catfish dough, and much more with great success.

I had two this year.  One was a small lake that wasn't consistant, but I did get my biggest of year out of it.  The second was a pond that I started fishing in the fall.  I didn't get a lot of big ones, but I got a ton of little ones that wanted to fight.

I'm here in Jacksonville and at spot A I have caught my biggest fish but spot B has been the most consistent as far as catching fish. Love spots A and B they are in my constant rotation...

Those snakes that search this site to "steal spots" probably got a little excited when they saw this thread lol won't get any info from me though just A and B.

Specific isolated offshore structure in Maine. In a three outing period I caught a 8-1, 8-3, and a 9-1 off the exact same spot on the same lure with the same specific cast.

1). Harney Pond area of lake Okeechobee.  I love the west side of the lake.

2).  Another favorite is Alligator Alley in the middle of the Everglades.   When the water levels drop, 200 fish a day is a real possiblity, with many fish in the 4 to 5 pound range.  It is hard to believe at times just how good it can get out there!

On the map, it's labeled as Lake Pinehurst but its really more of a pond.  A private farm pond to be precise.  Just started fishing it this season.  Caught a ton of fish in the 12 inch range that were unusually chunky and feisty for their size with a few nicer ones in the 3-4 pound range like the one in my avatar.  Crushed them all summer long with senkos and yum-dingers and then spinnerbaits and rat-l-traps when the fall bite started to pick up.
