^^^ Not to wish a Gator attack on anyone but, :)

I've been wondering the same thing! Have any of you tried salmon/trout fishing? If so, was it a suitable substitute until the bass fishing picks back up?

Trout fishing is a great substitute in my opinion. Wading the rivers in the mountains of Western Virginia with a small spinning rod in hand definitely helps take the bite out of cabin fever for me.

Well, since I like to ice fish, the cold is a welcome change.  The only problem is that I have hard time finding anyone to go out with me. Most people aren't as crazy as me-well, in this respect anyway.
