Im in the market for some new fluorocarbon fishing line. Looking for 4# test for a UL spinning setup. The question is....... Whats the best line to buy? (Make/Model)  I tried doing some online research and there are way too many mixed feelings to get a good answer. This is my first time posting but i follow the forum daily and figured i would come ask the experts. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

WELCOME!!  I'm afraid everyone will have their personal opinions on what line they like. I would suggest getting the highest quality line you can afford.  P-Line 100%, Sunline Sniper, Seaguar Tatsu, Berkley Trilene 100% are all good lines.

If you want the BEST I think you'll hear a lot about seagar tatsu

I should have added that i have heard/read alot of good things about Seaguar line. I was researching the invizx, but every review went back and forth between poor to excellent. Do you guys feel that the Tatsu is better?

Tatsu is in a different league all together.  Best stuff I've ever tried but too rich for my blood to use on a regular basis.

Tatsu is awesome stuff. It's pricey but you can find it on sale fairly often at one of the major online retailers. In fact, it's 25% off right now at one of them.

The other nice thing is the 4# Tatsu is probably 2# equivalent mono diameter, so if you wanted to step up to 6# you'd probably retain the 4# diameter.

I'm liking the berkley trilene xl pro grade 100% fluoro for spinning setups that I'm not doing a braid/fluoro combo on.

I can vouch for P-Line 100% Flouro in 4lb. I recently respooled my UL (7' Daiwa Presso/Shimano Sienna 500) with it and I'm over the moon with the switch. Knots hold great, it casts incredibly good and it stays put on that tiny little spool just fine.

Yo-Zuri Hybrid #4 has a breaking strength of 8.5 lbs.

If you want a pure fluorocarbon, Tatsu #6 is a GREAT line.

InvizX #8 is about the same diameter as most 4lb test line.
