Bass Pro Shops Xps Trigger Rods...any Good?

Featured Replies

These are on sale from 100 to 80 and will go lower according to reviews. Does anybody have complaints or good things to say about them?

They are ok,but not great. I started out with two of them MH and M. If your looking for a bottom contact rod for T-rigs, jigs, and shakey head, etc...

I would look at the carbonlite rods.

They are fairly heavy. I have a 7'6" heavy for flipping. Its good enough for that, but its like a broom stick.

X2 on the Carbonlites. I've got a 6'9" MH xfast for t-rigs and a 7'MH fast for jigs and large cranks.

Are you talking about the green Extreme rods? If so, I happen to like them. I use them for cranks and spinnerbaits, some I have are easily over 10 years old. Never had an issue with them. I have a Carbonlite too, its an older one. I held a new style yesterday and was dissapointed that they changed the handle material on them.I didnt really care for it, but they are still good rods.

X3 on the carbonlites. Mine is several years old and still going strong.

Johnny Morris Carbonlite is awesome.  Echoing many others in this thread.
