G.loomis Bcr 803 Glx What Do You Think?

Local shop has 1 of the older models on closeout for $263. I was wondering about the recoil guides on them. I ll be using 12# fluorocarbon and it will be a light T-rig rod. Reviews for rod look great but recoils i dont know if problem is just braid or all lines.

I have 0 problems with the recoil guides and flouro. I have several of these rods (GLX with recoil, not the 803) and love them!

I have this rod, and fish it for light T-Rigs as well. I've had no problems with flouro.

At that price, I'd say go for it....the rod is incredible, and I like it more than my 803 NRX for that application.

No issues with the guides. I don't have this particular model, but I have recoil guides

on a BCR893 and BCR854.
