Illinois Fishing Shows / Around The Country

Featured Replies

Is anyone headed to any of the fishing shows this coming week. There is a show in schaumburg, rosemont and another in Tinley park in February. Interested to see if anyone is going to any of these shows. Heck post up other states if you wish. I may be back in time for the Schaumburg show not sure.

I'll be at the Schaumburg one this year.  I attended it last year to see Ike do a tank demo.  Overall the show is good, seminars are good but the deals really aren't there anymore.  I am no longer going with the mindset to spend money.  Now I'm just going to "look" and if I happen to see a deal I'll jump on it.  I don't go to Rosemont anymore as it has dissipated into nothing but a parking fee. The only other that I usually attend that I skipped this year is Harper College Musky Show.  A coworker of mine said it was terrible so I'm glad I didn't pay for that either.

Rumor has it there's supposed to be a lot of fishing boats at the boat show this weekend. I see lots of tin manufacturers on there exhibitor list, but not 1 'glass bass boat brand. I may go to the boat show for something to do. Probably going to do Schaumburg. Rosemont has been dead the last few years

I might not go to schaumburg because i will be back at school for only a week. I have a booth at tinley that ill be at and IMO tinley is a better show for the all around fishing experience (bass, panfish, musky etc )  and schaumburg for  the big brands, tank demos , full lineup of boats etc. Tinley has the personal touch that Rosemont had in the early 2000's.
