I didn't see "all of the above" as an option :eyebrows:  I've used them all with equal success on my waters. Anymore, I move more and more toward the brighter colors (neon lime, yellow, chartreuse) for their added visibility benefit. About the only time I go low vis now days is where I don't need to see where or what my line is doing, such as when frogging.

I believe I have all of those on one reel or another.  I don't think it makes a monumental differance, if any, to my catch rate.  Clear water folks may have different results, but I use what I find on sale, or, what is easy to see if its for a technique that requires a more closely watched line.

This pretty much sums it up for me also.

suppose you could take sufix ghost braid, buy wide tipped permanent fluorescent markers, cut a notch in it, run the line through a casts worth of yardage and make it the color of your choice?

:thumbsup_blue:

I got a spool from ***.com, Sufix call it Ghost color but it is actually white. You can easily see it above the water, and I have 10lb on a spinning reel.

Thank you-i will add it to my next order, just waiting for next sale?

wait until Spring sale, and that's when I usually stock up for the year.

which brand hi-vis yellow do you use? I am looking at the sx1 high-vis yellow, any experience with it?

I just spooled up one of my spinning reels with it yesterday it's really limp and actually round if you give me till Sunday night I will let u know how it works as I'm fishing Sunday

Tight lines

Did you get the 12lb or 16lb? what is that in diameter compare to mono? It doesn't say on their website, hopefully it is close to 4-5lb compare to mono.

I have the 16 and it's thin about the size of power pro 10# which is 2# I think don't hold me to it though

cool, let me know after your fishing trip.

I like Power Pro.  For spinner bait, chatter bait, buzz bait rigs I use 30 lb low vis green with a 12 lb mono leader.  For pitching jigs, t-rigged worms/creatures and soft plastics I use 30 lb hi vis yellow and a 4 or 5 ft fluoro leader.  For spinning rigs I use 15 lb hi vis yellow for drop shotting, shakey heads and other finese presentations - always with 4 - 5 ft, 8 - 10 lb fluoro leader.  *For deeper water jigs/worms I prefer 12 - 15 lb fluoro, rather than braided line.   I don't think visibility is an issue but I like the idea of dealing with occasional hangups/breakoffs with mono or fluoro rather than the braided line.

I'm about to try out the Timber Brown PP Slick 8. Usually use green though

I use JDM Metered Multicolored Line for braid when I have it available.  I love that it is a different color every 10 meters.  (FYI, this is not jigging line, it is all purpose metered braid).  Plus it looks aesthetically pleasing.

But for normal usage, I prefer either a red or hi viz yellow.

You don't have to buy expensive metered, multicolored JDM braid when you can just buy camo sufix 832. Great line.

In fact, academy was selling the 150 yard packs for $6.50 each not too long ago at my local store. I picked up a few.

Despite the few line-colors listed in the poll, you will notice that nearly every color in the rainbow has been mentioned.

This only reaffirms the fact that line color is the fisherman's choice, and has little to do with line invisibility or fish preference.

Dont try to order it on line,as i did. I ordered suffix&832(3 spools),said they were in stock. i paid, still in stock,3 days later, an email saying order was cancelled? I called, all they could say was that they were unable ship. Thank goodness for TW !
