Damiki Hydra

Featured Replies

Well, I got suckered into the latest and greatest tube style bait, but I think this one has potential.  Little globes at the end of each tentacle do seem to make it appear and move differently than any other tubed I've seen. Really stands up nicely with a shakey head rig or the nail weights that Damiki sells. Unfortunately, the only place I've fished them is in my sink and the results were  predictable. Youtube has a couple of vids check out if interested.  I wondered how they are working for anyone who has actually used them.

I bought some at the beginning of last summer and some for a buddy as well. He hates them, he doesn't like tubes and ika style baits, but I love them. Nailed a lot of fish on mine. I have the 4" in a purple color and rig them tentacles up, the little balls float like crazy!

I bought a few packs last week, haven't fished them though, the'll have to wait till spring. I have had a good amount of success on the fat ika and have really high hopes for the hydra. I have used other damiki softbaits and really like their plastic formula. Their spoon tail and finesse miki are really good baits for shakeyheads and dropshot.

i bought 2 packs when they first came out. rigged them ika style and pitched them around laydowns and stuff that looked fishy, definatly a good idea if the fish have seen a lot of senkos. but used them neko rigged for the first time this fall and they are really awsome like that.
