Photographs of my favorite lures.

Featured Replies

Let me start off with a quick story. I gave up fishing at the end of this season because of academic reasons. I've long since sold off all of my rods and reels but I still have my tackle in storage. Today I got really bored so I decided to photograph some of my favorite lures just for kicks.

mods please move this if necessary.

Beautiful photography.

Excellent color and sharp images.

Get those grades up; graduate; get a good career; buy all new fishing equipment; buy a new Bass Cat or Ranger; pay a lot in F.I.C.A.

Keep those pics coming when you get back into fishing again.  :)

Great shots. What camera setup are you using.

Sorry you had to sell your gear :)

canon t2i with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, it's kind of sad but it's one less distraction haha.

Great Photos Jacob :) U Da Man! Sounds like you're serious about school and that's a terrific too... We're all glad you have parents that care enough to help you keep your priorities in order. Wish all young people did as well ! Don't worry, the fish will wait for ya

Keep up the Good Work

Great pics man!

You think you'll ever get back into fishing? I can't see myself giving it up ever.  ;D

Sorry you gave up fishing.  That jig looks well used - and that's when they look the best.  Because you know they've been in a bunch of bass mouths.

Great photography.  Hope you can get back into fishing soon.  Sometimes the immediate urge to fish goes away, but it's always lurking deep down and will resurface at any time.

Nice pictures Jacob. The fact you didn't sell off your tackle leaves the door open to resume fishing when your done with school. You can loose your tackle but you never loose your love for fishing.

Sorry to hear you had to give it up.  I just got back into it myself from something like that.  Spent from 2001 to 2008 fighting overseas and missing every summer.  As soon as I went non-deployable I dove right in.  Trust me you won't lose the itch and once you get back into it you probably will be able to learn and apply a lot more (Basically you forget and lose A LOT of bad habits).  Good luck with school, looks like you should be working for a big photographic studio or publication in no time.
