Feather Trebles, What Do Baits Do You Add Them Too?

Featured Replies

Of course my poppers and chug bugs come standard with feather trebles, but wanted to see what baits you all modify with feather trebles.  I've put one on the back of one of my Cotton Cordell Crazy Shad prop baits and probably will add one to my CC Boy Howdy as well...maybe a SK Sexy Dawg??  Don't know, just thought the forum could give some good feedback!

Here's one -

Place a feathered treble on your mainline before you tie on a jigging spoon.

As you work the spoon, the feather will be working another kind of magic.

Try a dressed treble as a trailer hook on a spinnerbait.

I knew that was coming - and it's a good one.

Think Zonker Right ?

Actually the Zonker I use is tied direct to the main hook, but I know that you've seen the treble stinger hook rigged on a spinnerbait before, let me see if I can come up with a pic.

Talk to me about the one with the spoon, sounds really interesting to me

Try a dressed treble as a trailer hook on a spinnerbait. That'll sting those short strikers! :eyebrows:

Nice! just rubber stop the trailer hook like a normal trailer hook?

Gonna throw one on a jerk bait and another one on a Bone Sexy Dawg or Spook Jr.

It's something that's been a staple in salt water angling forever; adding a teaser ahead of a spoon.

A streamer fly can also be used.  Simply thread the feather of your choice on your mainline before rigging up your spoon.  You can place the feather (single hook or treble) on small swivel and a short tag line if you want as well.

Doubles are common with this deal.

Personally, I think it should be Rated R:
