Too Much For The Dobyns 733C ?

Featured Replies

I was using a Keitech Swing Impact Fat 4.8 with a 1/8 oz weighted hook with a Dobyns 734C today. It worked ok but I was wondering if the 733c would load better? or is it too weight for the 733c? I was using 30 lb braid with a leader but I'm going to drop down to 20 lb braid with a leader. There is no cover where i fish, just open water.

Somebody told me the 733 would load better but I wanted another opinion. Thanks

I throw those with 1/2oz football heads on a 7' mh/f and flouro. I would think anything with solid backbone will be fine for them?..

Same here. Won't have any trouble and will likely cast better than the 734C as suspected.

733 will be fine. i have 703 and it works great, loads awesome on the cast, that is what i really enjoy about the rod
