Tatula And 65Lb Braid

Featured Replies

Thinking about using my tatula instead of my revo winch for my a-rigs this season. Does anyone know if the tatula can fit enough braided line for an a-rig? I dont remember how much line I spooled out in the past. I would rather not take the line off of my winch.

TT listed 120 yds. for Sunline SuperNatural.  65# braid is equivelent to 16# mono.

Sunline is thinner than conventional mono. Looking it up Ill get around 100yards. Idk if that is too little line on the reel for chunking that thing and fishing it deep.

Tatula has a pretty deep spool. You will be fine

The only way you would go through 100 yds is long lining, no way you do it casting.

Question.  Amount of line specified by the reel's manufacturer allow for the 1/16-1/8 inch below spool lip they all seem to specify as the fill point?  Cause if it does I would have no problem getting a full 120 yards.

Plenty of room. I put mono backing on my Tatula and about 70 yards of 65# braid. If you don't use any backing, you will have more than enough.
