Lews Tournament Pro

Featured Replies

Well I finally treated myself to a nice reel(tax return$$) a Lews Tournament Pro 7.1:1 for my shaky head and light duty t-rig rod.Took it out with 10# line and was throwing a 1/8.oz shaky head with 6"straight worm. I set two brakes on and the mag to 3.5 and with very little effort could hit 30-32yds i'm sure with 3/16.oz I could really put it out there without even trying. My old elbows are gonna thank me  . I picked it up for $149 shipped priority mail from Sportmans Outfitters http://www.ebay.com/itm/360837125892?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649  i called and spoke with them before purchase and very nice to deal with. I think a BB1 pro might be in my near future for my crankbait rod from them

ConGrats, that is a sweet reel, I hope it catches you a whole bunch of good bass too. The lew's BB1 Pro is a really nice reel also, you will love it.

Sportsmans is my local bait and tackle. they are great guys.. I have bought 80% of my stuff from them.. that Ebay store helps to keep them in business.. glad you had a great experience.. and also Lews is the awesome.. so you got to deal with two awesome companies :)

Thank you for posting this, I jumped on eBay a bought one as well right after reading this post, was holding out for the last couple of months since I took advantage of the Black Friday bass tackle depot sale and purchased a Dobyns champ 705 cb glass and since they offered me such a good price on it I also picked up a champ 734, bought a TP 6:4.1 for the 705 and was holding out for a good deal on a 7:1.1 for the 734 don't think I could have got it for much better so think you sir. This will be my first year throwing bait casters so I feel pretty confident that I got a couple of really good setups that will last me a long time (and hell maybe even catch a fish or two). The bait monkey sure did give me a spanking this winter. Bring on the spring

I have had this reel for about 2 years now and have had nooooo problems what so ever with it. So far I would recommend it to anyone.

This will be my second season with a TP on deck and i love it...might get another if i dont get a curado I

I'm typically a Shimano guy but have one Tournament Pro for a bit over a year. It's become my favorite reel.

Got to fish all day with this reel yesterday and now I know what I've been missing. Best way I can describe it is "effortless" to cast. As my other reels need replacing it will be Lews.

The TP is one of the best reels out there. If you want a solid reel that can take a use and keep on going, it is your reel. The only reason that I didn't keep mine was because I like to customize and own own rarer stuff. If I had to have one line of reels, it would be either the TP or Zillion and that is considering the Zillion is 120 more it could sway your opinion.
