Sorry to somewhat hijack this thread. My trolling motor has the skag in the front like what you have pictured (maxxum 70), I would like to throw my HDSI transducer on the TM. I am currently looking into http://www.transducershieldandsaver.com/product/tm-hdsi/ for the transducer. would this saver work without any extra wedges? I know I will need the metal straps.

Yeah I agree with Mikes work. Update: so I got the bearing back together and in place but the reel well not crank?!?!?! The reel is FUBAR at this point. Mike might be headed your way very soon.

I have had a few reels serviced at your shop. I'm leaning towards sending this sick puppy your way. Would this reel be serviceable at your shop?

Could someone help i.d. this part in my lews tournament pro please. I was in the process of cleaning my reels and rods when this reel was making a unusable noise. It also was though at time to crank the handle when the thumb bar was depressed. If I were to guess that what ever this part is, is to blame. When I disassembled the reel I found this part and the small detents spread out. Also the anti reverse was not working. That is my guess of what the part is. Any help would be great both Id and a solution. Thanks

I am looking to upgrade my only electronic on my boat. I currently have a L-HDS5 Gen1 at the wheel. I am currently looking into a Helix 9 si. My question is would I benefit more by having the Helix at the console or at my feet on the bow? My thoughts were this, I would have it up front then down the road get a 99x or 88x model and have it at the console. Not sure this would make since or not.Thoughts?

Thats opening up a can of worms.... I would said the best 150 dollar rod will prob be a used 200-250 dollar rod. If your stuck on new good luck there are a lot of good rods out there.

you can get the BPS carbonlite for 89 right now. they Cableas xz xl??? has good reviews too around the same price

How would this reel do with casting weightless worms? Being I haven't held one are the ergonomics of the reel overall good for throwing a bait all day

Yeah, I know its ultimately my choice but with very limited hands on with only one reel thought some would have input. I have the New Curado I and i have herd they are similar but the weight is only difference. thanks for chiming in

I have done a good amount of research on these 2 reels. I have not held a scorpion nor fished one. I have held a Chronarch but have not fished one. Which would you go with? They are similar in price and just trying to see the differences in the 2. Thanks in advance for your input.

I had the same issue with my ***. I am still waiting for the rod tip they are sending out. i was able to take the old one off by heating up like others have said (dont over heat though!!!) will not take much. Use pliers lol..... I didnt the 1st time...

I have a doybns Champ 733 and a 734. I have a cheap Wright and McGill Teal Crank rod and its OK at best i think. I want to replace the Cranking rod and maybe some of the applications of the Doybns. You see that rod doing just that?

I tried the normal hybrid 12bls and I got a wacky rig caught on the back of a log stuck in the mud, (windy day) I have a 21 ft stratos and I tried to break it free and just brake the line or hook........ No that line and hook pulled my boat right to the stuck hook in the log about 30ft away.. The stuff is no joke

I'm looking at maybe getting the 7mh Lucky Craft cranking stick. But before I pull the trigger, I had a few questions. Would it but suitable to throw chatter baits, small swimbaits and small umbrella rigs with this rod? Other is I didn't find much here on this rods but other sites somewhat rave about the them..... Anyone have hands on experience with one?
