Lews Or Shimano 7Ratio Reel
Your right it is a tough decision to make. You see any deference in cast distance or your drag with the two?

Lews Or Shimano 7Ratio Reel
Im looking at 2 reels in a 7 ratio. I'm wondering which is better the Lews Team Lite or Shimano Chronarch CI4+? It's a tough decision I have both brands and like both brands. Maybe just looking for input or someone who's has 1st hand experience with each of them. I understand I probably wouldnt go wrong with either.

How Far ...
i have the same reel but a 735 dobyns coalition i think im getting around 30-40 yards on the casting distance. with out measuring. I might be able to tweak out 5 yards more if i got brave and took a brake off.....

Mitchell 300Pro Spinning Reel
I had one, and I took it back. it wasn't smooth out of the box, (not a knock on Mitchell just wasn't), I didn't like the design of how the handle loosens when you turn it the other way, (I like either a nut to tighten down on the other side of the reel Just in case I accidentally turn the reel the wrong way. I am not much on spinning reels but that was a little bothersome to me. I went with a Pinnicale Matrix for 32 bucks on cleance at F&S. I was going to get a President but opted for the Pinnicale, havent used it much but it is pretty dang smooth for 30 bucks.

Your probably going to get a bunch of different answers. I'd say get what feels good. Or what rod offers the best warranty or options.

Painting Weights
Being that there is about a foot or foot and a half of snow on the ground I find myself to suffer a little cabin fever. So I decided to take some of my wifes finger nail polish (which she wasnt happy about when she found out) and paint my lead bullet weights. Anyone else do this? one is a black and other I call a lil blue gillish color. Im sure it might chip over time but eh what the heck its cheap.

Good Reel In The $100-$180 Price Range?...
Two reels come to mind for that price lews tournament pro or lews gold if you can find it. And the curado I. But I believe anything in that price range should be a great reel.

Pro Qualifier Vs New Jm Carbonlite? Or... Other?
I can attest to the old Carbonlite reel and 1st gen Rods (Carbonlite that is). they are awesome rods and reels for the price!! My buddy just got a new Carbonlite reel and loves it. and he is an Abu guy! he put his on a Duckett Ghost 7' m. he tried the reel on a Carbonlite rod but ended up with the Duckett. Now from what i have seen that the new Carbonlite rods are made differently than the older models some say they are thinner blanks?? i don't know but they are pretty lite and i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. I use a Duckett Micro Magic 7' mh with a Lews tourney pro. if your lucky you can have them both at around the price your looking for. I would assume that you would order offline if you have no bps around you? I would say get a BPS brand if you have one bc their customer service is pretty good in store.

Bass Pro And A St Croix Premir
yep that too. good call forgot that. thats if he bought it there or not. he might be trying to return it somewhere he didnt buy it.

Bass Pro And A St Croix Premir
Possible you could exchange it or get the lowest price it has had in the last 30days. or if you used your BPS membership card or rewards card they can look it up with that and give you a new receipt.

- St. Croix Mojo Action Question
So what your saying is should maybe think about keeping it? You guys do have a good point if it will help him make better cast as a baitcaster rookie then maybe sticking with the Moderate action might not be a bad choice.- St. Croix Mojo Action Question
I'm going to try to exchange it at bps for him.the difference in the rod tips shouldn't differ much as in balance from a mod to a fast right?- St. Croix Mojo Action Question
Matthew to be honest he is probably going to try to throw everything on this set up. I could tell him to throw a specific baits only but he is most likely to throw anything he can at them.- St. Croix Mojo Action Question
He fishes normally with spinning gear. But we wants to try bait casting. Bluebass that's what my thoughts were too. I just want to get someone else's opinion bc the guy at bps didn't notice the action of the rod he was picking out.- St. Croix Mojo Action Question
My dad wants to start throwing a bait caster. He asked me to give him a recommendation of rods. I got him a bps pq to start off with. Then told him to get a 6'6" to 7' medheavy rod of his choice and price range. Well what I didn't specify was the action of the rod. So tonight I see he had bought a 7' mh st Croix mojo cranking stick. That is a moderate action rod. Now being that for an all around rod show I make a suggestion to go and get a fast or extra fast? Thanks for your help.- Question On First Rod And Reel
Get a good 7' med heavy rod for 100$ take your pick there are a lot of options out there. Then get the BPS pro qualifier that goes on sale February. With tax you will be a Lil over 150 but if you trade in a old rod you will be right where you want.- Duckett Terex Rod
Have any pictures of it?- Best Lews Reel
- Need A Rod Around A $100 To Pair With Curado I
