i just seen the new humminbird 698 Ci si that they have. just wonder what is the different between it and 798si 

i just order a 798si and its  on its way right now.  i been reading on site and cant really find that much differnent between the two beside the price..   should i keep the 798  or do i take it back after i get it in the mail and get a 698 instead?

The 698 replaced the 598 and the 798.

BUT I would not recommend the 698 at all.

The display is not as wide as the other two which is what you do not want with a Side Imaging unit.

It is basically a narrower screen model if the 598 with the three quick view buttons of the 798.

 

You have already made the best choice for a 5" display model of Side Imaging.

the 798 can has eithernet capability. which means you can link to another screen or external gps. it has 2 card slots vs. 1.

 

if you dont need those you can get a 598 online for a good price. its like the 698 but with better screen.
