Popper Frog + Legs Question

There are so many frogs out there but I have noticed something- nobody makes a popper with lifelike legs, just walking-type frogs.  Does it impede the pop/chug action, result in upside down landings or just flat out cost too much without a return?  I love popper frogs like nothing else and I've always wondered why this is as I love the look of the real legs.  I feel like the skirts are minimally obstructive to the action and legs may hinder it somewhat, but probably not much as it's all up front as long as it floats nice.  Was considering adding some lifelike legs to an existing bronzeye popper but would like to hear what people have to say before I alter an already awesome bait.

Thanks in advance!

Master Bait'r, I'm sure one will be hitting the market soon enough.  The popping frog design is relatively new and just like when the first big wave of frogs hit the market, eventually companies started making them with the "real" legs.  The same thing will happen here.  Just give it some time and soon you will see poppers with frog legs.  When this does happen, I'll post on here to give you a heads up.  Judging by your name, you may miss it due to you being preoccupied.  Lmao.

I prefer the term "multitasking".   :eyebrows:

Frog legs might catch fisherman on poppers more than fish.  If you added legs to a popper the legs would act as a rudder and prevent the infamous walk the dog side to side action in the bait. It may not stop it completely but it would impede on the poppers action.  It doesn't effect it as much on bigger rounder frog/mouse type baits, but does make a difference on narrow poppers.  Play with the idea some and you will see what I am talking about.

J-

I recently took a live target mouse and replaced his legs with gray zonker strips for making flies. I havent seen it on the water yet but it looks awesome.

I bought the lunker hunt lunker frog and the "real" legs are garbage. The only time they move is if you really yank on it.. Other than that they always look as if the frog is just floating there even when u give a light tug. I'm excited to try a mouse i bought with willow leaf spinner blades for feet. And a baby crow with paddle feet
