Anything Abu does with rods a junk, just save ssome time and go with a different rod brand

Uh, No.  They make pretty decent rods.  All of Pure's stuff is fine.

At over $100 bucks, I'd be looking at St. Croix Premier or Mojo, Shimano's offerings, Okuma's offerings, ***'s ***.

Personally, I'd buy whatever has the best warranty locally.  I can get over the counter warranty on Shimano and Okuma.  Guess which rods I have the most of?

It's veracity not Teracity, may help with your search lol

Not a big fan of abu rods (the reels are fanstastic though). I owned a Vertias and it was stiffer than an inmate after his release going to a gentlemans club. I kid, but the rod was much stiffer and less sensitive than I was anticipating.

Add fenwick to the list of rods for you to check out. They are fantastic and mostly on the starting end of your price range.

Decent stick for the money, competitive components, and a pretty good feel.  They're stout, that's for sure.  The 7-3 MH feels more like a Heavy XF, and it performs quite well.  I tested these last fall, and am reasonably happy with the performance of the series on the whole.  They're a pretty good fit in the $150 category.

I don't have any experience with the Veracity, but overall I think Abu makes good rods. But there are other good rods in that price range to consider. Try to get your hands on a few different ones and see what feels good.

Thanks for the replies. I guess my question should have been what power/ action for top water fishing and what power/ action for soft plastics. I have a medium ardent fishofluge spinnging for the really light stuff like wacky rig ect. Any help would be great. Like a baitcaster better then spinning and got hooked.

If you like the veritas rods you'll like the veracity. I have one matched with a revo rocket and it's the lightest best balanced combo I own, it honestly feels like I'm holding a feather. That being said it is the shortest rod I own at 6'6", most of my other rods are 6'8 or 7'. I only fished with is for about a month or so before all the water froze so I feel like I would be doing a disservice to anyone giving a full review. But like I said earlier if you are familiar with the veritas rods and like them then you will enjoy the veracity.
