Rod For My Ci4?

Featured Replies

I just purchased the reel yesterday.  I was thinking of getting a Cumara 7'11" flipping stick.  The only thing I'm worried about is the weight of this reel is 6.5oz.   Based on the reviews on TW, this rod is tip heavy and a lighter reel doesn't feel rite.  Rods in the $200-$250 range would be ideal. Also keep in mind, flipping sticks.

Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

St croix LTB all of them are awesome their flipping and pitching stick should work well

I would take a look at the quantum smoke micro, the falcon bucoo micro, the Tatula 7'6", fenwick atos. All of these are below your price range but work great for the application especially with the lighter reel... I am sure there is a Dobyns in your range that a few will suggest as well. good luck...

Kistler KLX or Helium would be my first choice. Very light and tons of options. I'd also consider the Phenix Recon2.

Thanks for the responses fellas.  I will definitely give those responses some thought.

An excellent review RW.  A Tommy Gun would have went well in your last pic!

I have mine on a Pinnacle Perfecta 7'6" MH rod. It has become my favorite combo.

All my Dobyns balance excellent with my TP's which weigh 6.7. The longest rod I have is a 7'4, but I've never heard of a Dobyns that didn't balance well.
