Redeye Bass At Millerton Lake?

Featured Replies

Went fishing this weekend. Was up the river and caught a unusual one. It had bright red eyes and a redish tint to its fins. Kinda resembled a smallmouth but not one i have seen. Didn't think much of it till I was reading a bass book and it talked about redeye bass. A guy at the marina said they didn't have any bass like that there, just wondering if anyone else knew or caught anything like it?

I could be completely mistaken, and I don't fish millerton much, but I think I read somewhere that there originally were quite a few in the lake, but the spotted bass are out-competed them which is why their numbers have gone down significantly... Again I could be totally wrong...

I do not believe there are any in there. I went last weekend and the spots had reddish eyes when I was catching them
