Spinning Rod Recommendation

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new spinning rod. The rod needs to be between 100 and 140 and I plan on using it for drop shot, shakey head, and possibly wacky rigged worms. Let me know what your personal preferences are. I currently have a 7 foot mh veritas that isn't bad but I want something a little more sensitive.

I have the 7' M Falcon Bucco Micro and love it.  It's a bit softer which I like and the butt of the rod isn't too long. Run you about $130.00

7'0 carbonlite on sale thru Sat. Great sensitivity and can pull the biggies out.

St. Croix Mojo Bass "Wacky Style" would be right up your alley.

I used the mojo wacky style for wacky rigs and shakey heads and it did great with both of those. Didn't use it for drop shot but I'm sure you could get away it just fine. The carbon lite isn't a bad rod and can be had on sale for 79.99 often.

I use a Shimano Compre for this exact thing and love it.

Mojo like rest have said or if you look at dicks sporting goods I saw that the St Croix rages were on sale for 130 those rods are awesome I use the rages for wacky and drop shot while an LTB for shaky head

Tight lines

I was at walmart yesterday and saw falcon bucoo's on clearance for $50.

You know, this sucks majorly.  Our local Walmarts aren't worth shopping at for fishing gear.  You can get better deals at Dick's Sporting Goods.  I'd jump all over a deal like that if they had a model I wanted.

Mojo bass all the way. Very sensitive and great backbone.
