Just his own, North Fork Composites. G. Loomis was sold to Shimano, maybe 20 years ago. He consulted with TFO to put a bass line together, but he does not build them. They are primarily a fly rod company, so it made sense to have Gary come in and help them.

NFC.....they only make blanks.

Edge Rods.....they build production rods on NFC blanks.

Gary Loomis built rods under several names since 1980. I bought: LOOMIS, LCI ( Loomis Composite INC ) Loomis Composites, G. Loomis. I had nothing further to do with a Loomis products after he sold his interests to Shimano. I had some good friends that were pro-staffers with Gary and when the deal was finalized everyone of them was dumped without so much as a thank you.

Those rods are not made by Gary Loomis. He just had a small consultation role in the design.

I don't think he Makes anything but cash, lol.  His name is on the rod and he helped design them.  I'd say it's more than "small" though.

If I remember correctly, Shimano signed a contract with him prohibiting him from naming another rod company in his name?

i believe he helped design powell rods also?

No.  He consulted on Powell Fly rods some years ago.  Those rods were never produced for the consumer.
