I keep it simple for topwaters. Bone for clear days and black for overcast days and at night.

Solid Advice.

I use the same pretty much but when I need something different I use black shiner and foxy momma for some flash.

Another trick I want to try is painting an orange stripe on the bottom of the bone or clear spook.

I did that. Did a sharpie pattern on the bottom ,waited for it to dry, then covered it with sallys hard as nails
