Central Indiana - Smallies Goin Crazy

Featured Replies

Came home for lunch today, and went out for a quickie on the all electric lake I live on. the ice has been gone for a month or so, didnt think to read water temp but it felt cool. Really just wanted to try out some new gear.  Read my electronics, saw a bunch of fish about 8' deep posted on a point.  First cast was a dud but my second cast got hit almost on impact. That fired up the school, and you know the rest.  I was using a spinnerbait on one rod and a flat bill spro crank in the light craw pattern on the other. kept alternating, kept catching for about 20 minutes. noticed fish have moved up into shallow waters as well as 15-20'.  Best lunch break I've had in a long time!

Worth noting, I didnt see any bait fish. hopefully that translates into lots of hungry bass hitting our lures.  Last year at this time there were bait fish everywhere, and full bass are lazy unmotivated bass. lol

Nice work!!! Going out tomorrow and hoping things have started to heat up.

Tomorrow's forecast looks amazing. I'm spending the the morning out there in my old boat. Then during the afternoon I'll be on land finishing up some work left to do on my new boat. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll get to fish out of my new (to me) bass boat.  Then Sunday comes the wind and Monday the cold front. smh

We fished form the dock here and got 1 the wind was so strong we didn't put the boat in not sure when we will get the boat in...did real well in KY last weekend...

Went out Saturday and ended up with 4. It was just a private pond, but still a great time. With 20mph winds did not want to get out on the big lake and not be able to paddle back. Water temps were from 55-60.
