Anyone know of any shore fishing spots for largemouth/smallmouth in WI? Preferably in or near the fox valley area? Or anywhere within a couple hours of appleton/Green Bay ?

Now, this was like 10+ years ago...but there was great smallmouth fishing from shore on the Wisconsin River right near downtown Stevens Point. There was a lot of different areas you could get to on foot, had plenty of 20 fish trips, with several being in the 4-5 pound range.

Get yourself some waders and leave the shore behind. There's gotta be some nice little rivers up there you can stomp around in!

There are plenty of shore areas along the WI river. It don't matter if its up north, or down south. I have never shore fished around Point though, but there has to be some good spots. I fish a lot of lake Wausau, Wi river, and other local lakes. I have no problem with shore fishing.
