What works best at which time of the year. Example-Spring is best suited for...?

Are there lures suited specifically for ponds? Or specifically for lakes?

I recently got some baits that I would like to use with the suited tackle at the suited time to "up"my chances. Senkos, red eye shad,rat l trap,rapala floating,rage tail craw,rage tail toad, rooster tail,etc

Spinning tackle:  finesse

                           Weightless soft plastics for example.

 

Baitcasting gear: power

                            Most "moving" lures, jigs and weighted soft plastics.
