Featured Replies

So me and a buddy are planning on going  fishing to this awesome place. We have never been and I was just wondering if there was in locals on here.  What baits are good this time of year and also what colors are best? thanks

I'm surprised nobody has responded. We have a few guys that travel to Dale Hollow every year.

Maybe they will see this and post something for you. The main things to keep in mind are that this

is a clear, deep lake. The World Record Smallmouth was caught trolling a crankbait for walley.

Fishing has been very good this spring.  Lots of big fish been caught on the A-Rig.  Smallmouth fishing is still on the rebound but its way better than last year.  Throw a swimbait, grub, jerkbait, spinnerbait, basically you can catch fish on just about whatever you want right now.  Fishing has been a little tougher the last couple weeks since a lot have gone on bed I hear.  Haven't been in 3 weeks.  Not sure where you're launching but a lot of the better fish been caught midlake and up the rivers.
